Creative in the time of Pandemic
It’s day 100 of the COVID-19 forced vacation. Actually I don’t know where to start my count. From the day that I stopped working, from the day that the Coronavirus word was uttered in the news? I’ve decided that I’m going to pick random numbers until I figure out what is my true COVID number.
How do you stay creative? Well, It starts from within. Are you getting your words, song, dance out of your head and heart and onto paper, laptop, desktop, video, tablet, notes on your phone? If you are scared of technology or afraid of being admonished, laughed at, stop caring and start doing! You have something to give to the world: a point of view, cool pitch, fab dance move, different way to crochet, knit and sew, read a story or stare into the video and laugh.
Once you get it out of your soul, you can choose to share it or keep it to yourself. You don’t have to let anyone know or let everyone know. The choice is yours, but let your gift exist. You can post an audio or video on your new YouTube channel or favorite social media platform: Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
Create a new look in your apartment or house. Take a picture how the room looks first. Grab the broom and the mop. Fire up the vacuum, Clean the furniture and throw rugs, throw pillows, move them around with the furniture and the lamps. You have a new look. Keep it for a few days and tweak it until you love it. Take a few pics of the new look. Keep it to yourself or send it to some friends. Check out your fine work or maybe it looks awful, but it’s different and creative.
Find your creativity. It’s probably been in a napping but wake it up and get to it. The world is waiting.
