If you have watched the late 90’s to early 2000’s television show, The King of Queens you definitely know who Leah Remini is. She was the sassy and brassy Carrie Heffernan, wife of comedian Kevin James’ character, Doug Heffernan. Carrie’s character was focused, conscientious and outspoken, characteristics that Leah exhibits in real life.

Leah is also a former practitioner of Scientology. Her family has been a part of the Church of Scientology since Leah was nine years old. Leah was subsequently blackballed from the organization after she dared to challenge the leaders regarding internal policies and procedures in 2013. Leah wrote a book of her harrowing experience called Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. She details her life under the influence of the Church and the subsequent harassment by them and their minions. Leah tome also led to a lauded television show, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath; where she invited other denounced former members to share their experiences.

Leah has a warrior spirit. She fights for those who have been wronged, has experienced pain and suffering at the hands of powerful individuals, in this case, men in Hollywood. Leah has been the only celebrity that has called for an investigation of the Los Angeles Police Department, Scientology and Les Moonves. Leah contends that the ties with LAPD and Scientology is suspect, as well as the cover up of the horrific sexual misconduct of Les Moonves by Cory Palka, who is a former veteran officer of LAPD. She wants an independent investigation of the aforementioned to occur.

Les Moonves, the former CEO and chairman of CBS Corporation who has personally paid $2.5 million and CBS paid $28 million dollars in restitution to Letitia James, Attorney General of the State of New York for hiding his sexual misconduct allegations from CBS shareholders during merger negotiations.

There is an eerie silence from the formerly vociferous members and allies of the #MeToo movement regarding Les Moonves, such as Tarana Burke, Amber Tamblyn, Rose McGowan, Gloria Allred, Oprah Winfrey, Julie Chen Moonves, Lisa Bloom, America Ferrera, Gayle King, Michelle Williams (Heath Ledger), Eva Longoria and Alyssa Milano.

There is also a notable silence from the Mainstream Media talking heads and their media outlets, such as CBS, MSNBC, FOX and NBC. It is probably due to laryngitis from the barrage of conversation regarding Jussie Smollett, Kanye West, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson, Kyrie Irving, Bill Cosby and R. Kelly and their alleged, adjudicated or exonerated offenses. The silence is no doubt due to these journalists being fatigued from preparing in depth documentaries or multi part series on current disgraced, convicted, serial or pending sexual predators: Ezra Miller, Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Allison Mack, Horatio Sanz, Danny Masterson, Bryan Singer, Roman Polanski, Paul Haggis, Lena Dunham, Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer and Jerry Harris.
